I have a Master’s degree in education from the Technology, Innovation & Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education where I focused on cognitive and psychological models for developing networked learning applications. Projects included:
I have developed, managed, designed, or otherwise contributed to online product development at Harvard Business School, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Berkman Center for Internet and Society, Heinle, Family Health International (FHI), TERC, photo.net, and Safari Books Online.
Throughout this journey, I’ve worked with a spectrum of research tools and methodologies to understand user needs and preferences — and for the past year I have focused specifically on user experience research. UX research is a great fit for my drive to understand how people use technology and how to optimize products and processes. I love synthesizing disparate data points into a meaningful narrative that helps drive great product design.
When I’m not at my laptop I’m often behind a camera. I take a lot of photos, particularly portraits. linoleumjet.com is my photography blog. I also post frequently to my flickr stream.
I'm Juliette Melton, a San Francisco resident, user experience researcher, and infrequent blogger. This is where I share interesting examples of user experiences that I come across and where I post updates on my various projects. See linoleumjet.com for my more photo-related postings.
